The OHL Trans-Nigeria Agro-Industrial Project is one of the seven anchor projects under the MDG Project Nigeria initiative. This project addresses Nigeria's critical agricultural processing and food security needs through sustainable, innovative solutions focused on roots & tuber, sugar, fruits & cocoa processing, livestock & fishery operations, edible oils extraction, cereals & grains milling, forestry products, and agricultural inputs manufacturing to support Nigeria's agro-industrial ecosystem and value chain development.
OHL Agro Limited will manage an integrated processing complex for cassava-based ethanol production, starch extraction, sugar milling, tomato paste processing, and cocoa processing facilities.
OHL Agro Limited will operate a comprehensive protein value chain encompassing poultry egg farm, poultry meat processing, fish processing, pork processing, beef processing, UHT milk, milk powder, and cheese manufacturing.
OHL Agro Limited will manage integrated oilseed processing operations for palm, soybean, sesame, groundnut, coconut, sunflower, and rapeseed oil extraction and refining.
OHL Agro Limited will operate a modern grain milling complex for maize, rice, and wheat processing with high-capacity milling operations.
OHL Agro Limited will manage an integrated forestry complex encompassing charcoal production, saw mill operations, and bamboo pulp processing mills.
OHL Agro Limited will operate agricultural inputs manufacturing including animal feed mills, NPK fertiliser production, PP woven bag manufacturing, and plastics moulding facilities.
OHL Agro Limited is a wholly owned operating subsidiary of GLWD Investment Company Limited, established to lead the development and management of the OHL Trans-Nigeria Agro-Industrial Project. As the primary implementation company, OHL Agro Limited oversees the entire value chain from farming and raw material cultivation to industrial processing and export of finished products across six major operational phases.
The company will manage an integrated processing complex for roots & tuber, sugar, fruits, and cocoa, a comprehensive Livestock & Fishery Processing Complex, an Edible Oils Processing Complex, a Cereals & Grains Milling Complex, a Forestry Products Complex, and an Agricultural Inputs Manufacturing Complex. Through backward integration, OHL Agro Limited also operates extensive cassava estates and other agricultural plantations to ensure supply chain security and cost-effective operations.
