The OHL Gulf of Guinea Maritime Project is one of the seven anchor projects under the MDG Project Nigeria initiative. This project addresses Nigeria's critical maritime infrastructure needs through sustainable, innovative solutions focused on port terminal development, shipbuilding, containerised and bulk cargo ocean transportation, and deep-sea trawling to support Nigeria's maritime ecosystem and value chain development.
The project comprises four main phases:
Phase 1: Shipbuilding Operations
OHL Heavy Industries Limited will manage the shipyard complex, focusing on vessel construction, repair, maintenance, and ship recycling services.
Phase 2: Maritime Logistics Operations
OHL Shipping Limited will operate a fleet of vessels for containerised and bulk cargo ocean transportation.
Phase 3: Trawling Operations
OHL Agro Limited will manage deep-sea trawling operations for commercial fishing activities.
Phase 4: Port Operations
OHL Industrial Zone Development Limited will manage port terminal operations in OHL Industrial City to support the maritime value chain.
All project implementation companies are wholly owned subsidiaries of GLWD Investment Company Limited and are strategically positioned to support the broader anchor projects while driving Nigeria's maritime sector development.

Fish Trawling Operations
Fleet of 5 modern 40-metre stern freezer trawlers. 10,080 tons annual fish production. Sustainable commercial fishing in Gulf of Guinea waters.
Shipbuilding Operations
Integrated shipyard complex for vessel construction. Repair, maintenance, and ship recycling services. Technology transfer and local capacity building.
