The Millennium Development Goals Project Nigeria (2027–2036) is a Nigerian Infrastructure Development Strategy comprising 7 anchor projects across 7 key sectors of the economy: implemented by OHL Investment Company Limited.
The OHL Industrial City
Every anchor project connects physically and functionally to one location
The OHL Industrial City is the operational backbone and convergence point for all MDG Project Nigeria phases and streams. It is not just a location: it is a fully integrated, self-sufficient industrial ecosystem.
The two core anchor projects, the OHL Trans-Nigeria Agro-Industrial Project and the OHL Trans-Nigeria Mining, Minerals & Metallurgy Project, form the production and industrial base. All other anchor projects are designed to complement, enable, and sustain these two core industries by delivering the necessary infrastructure, services, and utilities inside the City.
Key features of the OHL Industrial City:
- 2,000-hectare industrial and real estate development zone
- Dedicated captive power supply with a targeted combined installed capacity of 1,250 MW, comprising 12 x 100 MW solar power streams and 1 x 50 MW biomass power stream, supported by a 200 MW / 3,600 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS)
- Integrated port and jetty terminal for export and import
- Internal road network, drainage, water systems, and municipal infrastructure
- Low-emission logistics fleet and vehicle assembly
- Shipbuilding yard and maritime operations base
